About Neon <3

Rooted in the stunning landscapes of Oregon, my journey into the world of sewing was profoundly shaped by my family’s deep appreciation for craftsmanship. From an early age, I was surrounded by an environment that celebrated handmade artistry, thanks to my parents’ passion for creating with their own hands. My father introduced me to hand sewing when I was just five years old, a formative experience that sparked my fascination with textiles and needlework. I began by crafting whimsical creatures out of felt, and this early creative exploration laid the groundwork for my lifelong dedication to the art of sewing.

By the time I was ten, my burgeoning interest was further nurtured by my mother, who gifted me my first sewing machine and enrolled me in lessons. This early support, combined with high school classes and a commitment to self-directed learning, allowed me to refine my skills and develop a unique artistic voice. Each stitch and seam I create reflects not only my technical proficiency but also a profound passion for the craft.

In my small custom clothing and accessory business, I aim to offer more than just garments; I strive to provide pieces that are truly one-of-a-kind and deeply personal. Every item is crafted with care and precision, tailored to reflect the unique tastes and needs of each individual wearer. My designs are heavily influenced by my love and fascination with the mythology surrounding stitch-craft, drawing inspiration from the rich history and symbolism associated with textiles and sewing.

Sustainability is at the core of my business philosophy. I am dedicated to using sustainably sourced materials and ethical labor practices, ensuring that each piece I create not only embodies artistic integrity but also aligns with environmental and social responsibility. By paying homage to traditional techniques while embracing modern sustainable practices, I seek to honor the timeless value of handmade work and contribute to a more conscious and responsible fashion industry.

For me, working with fabric and textiles is not merely a creative endeavor but a meaningful connection to a rich tradition. I aspire to achieve mastery in my craft through continued self-directed learning, and I use my business as a platform to explore and advocate for important topics. Through this journey, I aim to merge my love for artistry with a commitment to sustainability and social advocacy, contributing to a dialogue that values both creativity and ethical responsibility. Thus, ©The Neon Odditorium was born, committed to “altering the fabric of your reality!”™
